WHAT TO EXPECT

In your role as a E2E SW and System Integration Specialist within Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) department.

Will be responsible for managing, implementing and driving end-to-end integration across our software products and systems, ensuring that all elements from our SWDevOps to software functions implemented in the embedded hardware and validated have an end-to-end integrated process, architecture and established procedure. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of Software and System Integration development principles, SWDevOps, Variant and Configuration management principles and best practices with experience in delivery in production environments.

You will be expected to work with product management as well as engineering managers to provide leadership and direction to multiple software development Agile scrum teams. You must have a strong working knowledge of Agile development methodologies and software and system development processes to ensure unit project deliverables and targets are met to the required quality standards and program alignment.

THE ROLE

Key Responsibilities

End to End Software and System Integration Principles and Processes. Diagnosing and resolving software/system/hardware/data interface problems whilst ensuring system integration across the architecture. Leading and supporting test asset interface and software development on prototype and production properties. Conduct regular audits of deliverable functions and configuration items for compatibility and integration quality assessments. Develop and support the calibration, configuration and variant management strategy and deployment with the management team. Developing and directing the preparation and execution of comprehensive test integration plans, quality assurance plans, procedures, and schedules. Planning, facilitating and conducting software and system testing (including using programming languages to support and write code for use in the application/software code), performing analysis of test results, and tracking/reporting risk levels during test execution. Performing regression and ad-hoc testing of software and components potentially affected by system changes. Monitor the tools JIRA, Git, Confluence, test suites etc for accuracy and flag any discrepancies. Work with quality teams to understand the processes to be adhered to and in turn ensure the teams are compliant. Ensure teams are focused on clear goals; lead the management of team interdependencies and remove/avoid impediments. Interaction with multiple diverse stakeholders both locally and across the JLR global sites will be expected.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Degree in Computer science, Software, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or a related area, or relevant experience preferred Extensive experience in System and Architecture Delivery – inc MBSE, INCOSE Extensive experience in Automotive Project Management – PMP, Prince, APM Extensive experience in Agile & Software Project Management – inc SAFE, Agile, Scaled, Lean, Scrum, Waterfall Experience in working across the full Software and System Development Life Cycle Experience in working in On-board and Off-board Automotive Network infrastructures and Architecture Ability to manage and lead diverse teams and multiple priorities Experience in facilitating / leading large-scale innovation / planning workshops or similar events Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and focus on results/outcomes Strong oral and written communication Line Management experience with ability to nurture and grow direct reports
