Main duties of the job

As a key member of the team at PHL, your role isvery important as the first point of contact for our patients and/or contractcustomers (dependent upon the service you support). A kind and empathetic person, you will beexpected to take control and be accountable for the given situation,treating every patient with respect and providing confidence inour ability to deliver a great and caring service. As an integral team member, you will efficientlymanage patient and/or contract customer interactions, keeping them informed tothe progress and liaising with your duty team leader as appropriate to ensure aseamless and first-class service is delivered.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Book patients in on arrival for walk in appointments for the Urgent Treatment Centre Book where appropriate fracture clinics appointments internally and externally Monitor the electronic booking system and liaise with the team leader with any workload concerns Answer the telephone promptly and deal with enquiries in a helpful and courteous manner, being aware of the need to maintain confidentiality at all times. Perform receptionist duties as required by the team leader/line manager and to ensure efficient systems are in place for the maintenance of all records in accordance with Statutory and Company procedures Ensure the Reception area is kept tidy and all areas are safe Accurately logging in/out of prescriptions in a timely manner. Maintain stationary stocks Ensure mandatory training is kept up to date in line with PHL policies and procedures Relevant reception/customer service or administration experience Sensitivity and empathy with people from different backgrounds Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy when dealing with patients and multidisciplinary team Good standard of literacy Ability to work without close supervision Person Specification

Ability to use Microsoft office and other databases. Previous experience of Adastra and EMIS is desirable.
