We are a busy and well equipped ultrasound department based at Lymington New Forest Hospital(LNFH) with satellite services run at Hythe and Romsey.

We have new GE LOGIQ E10 Series ultrasound machines at all sites.

We are a forward thinking department.

Sonographers perform a wide variety of examinations including Abdominal, Gynaecological, Small parts and DVT as well as more specialist examinations such as Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Carotid Doppler.

Experience in these specialist aspects of sonography would be advantageous but not essential.


LNFH is a busy, community hospital with an Urgent Treatment Centre, situated just outside the attractive Hampshire town of Lymington, situated on the south coast - well known for its sailing facilities and the New Forest National Park.

It is in proximity to both Southampton and Bournemouth with good road, rail and air links. We work closely with the acute Trusts of Winchester, Southampton and Bournemouth.
