The focus of the role is to deliver key reward activities including the UK annual Pay Review, audits and Reward projects whilst managing independently the day-to-day UK benefits and car plans and providing benchmarks and job evaluations. The role will also involve partnering with other members of the HR team such as HR Shared Services, Talent Acquisition and the  broader HR Business Partnering community to offer Reward advise; to provide Reward input into cross functional projects; and to provide Reward input to ensure that an efficient and employee experience orientated service is delivered across the end-to-end HR model.  

The role is primarily focused on the UK but from time to time may involve some non-UK activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Working with the International Reward Operations Manager to deliver the annual Pay Review process for the UK including data and systems set up, partnering with HR leads, responding to queries, and managing changes throughout the review period
  • Conducting the Reward market survey submissions (WTW and Mercer) and updating our internal market benchmarks – analysing the year-on-year trends and playing this back to our HR leads 
  • Design and UAT improvements of the pay review system - engaging with stakeholders to capture requirements and  communicate the changes
  • Validation of employee data working with the HR leads
  • Ensuring that the incentive calculations are accurate and that the actual and targets are reflective of any incentive design changes – working with Group Finance and ABF Reward to conduct reconciliations
  • Working with the Head of Reward and Wellbeing to ensure that the executive pay review and end of year Reward activities are executed
  • Pro-rating calculations for the incentive plans – interrogation of employee records to capture changes such as maternity, change of role and Business Unit, and long-term sickness absence
  • Co-designing of communications throughout the pay review period and co-designing on the letters and content that are delivered to employees
  • Delivery of outcome and target incentive letters including cross checking to ensure accuracy
  • Providing UK market benchmarks and job evaluations
  • Working with the Reward Operations Manager to deliver statutory reporting, audits and incentive accruals calculations
  • Produce management information as required throughout the year, including for wage negotiations in the UK and other Reward projects such as analysing economic pay indicators and position against market. Partnering with the Head of Reward and Wellbeing and partnering with HR Business Partners directly too. 
  • Day to day management of the benefits portfolio (Private Medical, Medical Cash Plan, Perks etc), the Company Car Lease plan and Company Car Fleet 
    • Primary contact for the plans and escalation point for query management
    • The management of changes including pricing, participants in the plans and level of cover and ensuring that employee records are maintained
    • Providing advice to employees in collaboration with the wider HR team
    • Lead on contract review and renewal cycles collaborating with the vendors and the Head of Reward and Wellbeing; create any associated communications to employees and updating any associated material accordingly (e.g., new starter packs, Sharepoint, induction material)
  • Support on delivery of Global Mobility including being the UK contact for the Sponsorship Management System – adding joiners/leavers/and changes working in conjunction with Eversheds (third party advisor) and the Reward team
  • Monitor spend against the annual Reward budgets, keeping track of invoices and predicting future liabilities. Support with the monthly budget meetings. Raise POs and manage cross-charging of Reward costs to the business as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely provision of benefits data to Payroll 
  • Content design and production of the Benefits Dashboard and monthly Reward reports 
  • Manage the UK element of the Reward Inbox 
  • Ensure Reward working practices comply with Health & Safety legislation, particularly with regards Vehicles – custodian of the Company Car Policy
  • Design Reward content  and deliver content to stakeholders – company inductions, pay review guidance, Reward awareness sessions, Sharepoint site and other employee touchpoint comms
  •  Provide advice and guidance to HR leads on Reward approaches, salary management and support on the co-designing of Reward initiatives
  • Working closely with the HR Shared Services team and Talent Acquisition team to ensure that  the end-to-end workflows and end to end employee life cycle journey delivers great employee experiences from a Reward perspective

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Reward experience including UK benefits, Compensation management and Annual salary reviews.
  • Experienced in pay review and company bonus process cycles 
  • Proficient in conducting market benchmarks using Willis Towers Watson methodology
  • Experience in manipulating and analysing large amounts of data in MS Excel and producing MI with the ability to create bespoke reports.
  • Highly numerate and analytical with an aptitude for following advanced calculations in Excel
  • Good understanding of employee data and entitlements.
  • Initiative-taker – ability to work on own initiative without supervision.
  • Influencing Reward subject matter expert- looking outside and contributing ideas. 
  • Demonstrable experience of partnering with a diverse stakeholder group, adapting advisory style to meet BU needs and requirements.
