Job summary
We are seeking a committed and experienced project support officer to join our Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism team (MHLDA).
Main duties of the job
This position will work within the MHLDA team and will support the wide- ranging scope of the team. The post holder will lead on some specific areas of work, support on others such as pathway reviews, system transformation and be involved in the review and delivery of new and existing services.
About us
Our Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the largest in the country.
The ICB is responsible for ensuring that high quality and safe health services are accessible to all of our communities. It has a wide range of functions, including; promoting integration of health and care services, improving peoples health and well-being, reducing health inequalities.
With a £ billion budget and a workforce of 170,000 people across the North East and North Cumbria. As well as strategic functions, ICB staff also work at place level with local health and wellbeing boards in each of our 14 local authority areas. These teams also work alongside our 67 primary care networks which are groups of local GP practices, social care teams and other community- based area providers.
The ICB works with our Provider Collaborative too, this includes the 11 NHS Foundation Trusts in the region, to deliver our shared priorities.

Job responsibilities
This is an interesting and varied role which will involve close working with system partners across health and social care.
The post holder should have an interest in improving Mental Health, Learning Disability and Neurodiversity services and have demonstrable experience of supporting and delivering projects in a Health environment.
This position will work with place-based partnerships to address local need and priorities in Northumberland and North Tyneside and provides an excellent opportunity for development.

Training and Experience
Essential
Word processing and Excel qualifications (intermediate level), or equivalent experience. Word processing and Excel qualifications (advanced level), or equivalent experience Further training / post graduate or significant experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management processes Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services. Experience in communications and stakeholder management NHS contracting, commissioning and performance management experience. Experience of service change/redesign and success at delivering programmes of change Experience in contract management, including performance management and quality assurance Knowledge/ experience of standard NHS contracts, terms and conditions, schedules and contract levers Previous experience in similar role in public sector Educated to degree level or equivalent
