Our accredited, fully digital centre are looking to recruit an experienced Radiographer with a special interest in Paediatric imaging. No two days will be the same as you will be covering a broad range of imaging modality services including, fully DR Plain Film X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound. You will work across A&E, Plain Film Radiography, Orthopaedic out-patients, Theatre and Portables, with opportunities to rotate through Fluoroscopy, Bone Density (DXA) Scanning, Cross-sectional imaging and our Community sites including our Devon Diagnostic Centre at the previous Exeter Nightingale Hospital site.

This is truly a varied and interesting role where your input can add value to our patient journey and be part of our friendly team.

Our core commitment to supporting professional development is demonstrated in our growing number of Reporting Radiographers who support Axial & Appendicular MSK, Chest, DXA, CT Colon, CT & MRI Head reporting. We are also delighted to be delivering a rolling programme of sonographer training, now in its 6th year and are training 2 Advanced Clinical Practitioners in MSK and Interventional Ultrasound. The department continues to support other post graduate education and has recently financed MSc studies for staff. We are also investing in future Radiographers, in conjunction with the University of Exeter we have recently recruited our 5th cohort of Undergraduate Degree Apprenticeship Radiographers as well as 2 Apprentices studying on the MSc Apprenticeship course.

We are proudly in our 9th year as an accredited centre under the UKAS Quality Standards for Imaging (QSI) Accreditation Scheme, and have demonstrated a commitment to continued quality improvement for patients and staff.

The department opens from 8: until : 7 days a week, with hour services for A&E and ward services. We operate an on call and a shift pattern, and successful applicants will participate in this.

The successful candidate will be flexible, adaptable and have experience of a broad range of general x-ray examinations and adaptive technique as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in conducting skeletal surveys for suspected physical abuse is desirable.

The role will be based at both Nightingale Hospital and Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Eastern site, the post holder will work from both locations on a rotational basis.

Working Pattern: hours per week to include hour days, hour days, weekend working and on-call commitments.
