We want to keep driving towards the future, so our team is currently seeking a: Specialist Tax, Customs & Export Control Systems, Technologies and Projects.
WHAT AWAITS YOU?
• As Customs Specialist your main responsibility will be to ensure compliance with customs and export control relevant legal framework and their implementation into business and IT processes.
• You will be required to monitor legislative procedures and assessment of consequences for BMW UK entities, including compliant and timely filing of customs and tax returns for BMW entities in the UK and Ireland.
• You will design, enable, and operate tax, customs and export control management processes and systems to assure compliant operations for concerned UK & IE BMW Group entities. You will drive efforts to minimise cost, reduce delays and secure the various supply chains BMW is involved in.
• Part of your remit will include creating and maintaining customs and export control process documentation and work instructions in accordance with management approvals.
• You will be responsible for risk management and management of all requirements from various departments, including risk reporting for FR-30.
• Ensuring the proper tax base is used in accordance with legal and internal requirements is part of this role in order to avoid administrative offences and criminal proceedings. You will also participate in the identification, analysis and control of tax, customs and export control risks of BMW entities in the UK and Ireland.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE.
• University degree or equivalent in business administration/economics/law or vocational training in economics with additional qualification.
• Working experience in customs/export control in a global corporation. Tax knowledge beneficial.
• Process modelling and SAP knowledge (ERP/S4HANA/SD/MM/SRM/GTS) and German language skills are preferential.
• Excellent expertise and proficiency in process design, excellent capacity in analysis, planning and decision making.
• Possessing a high level of target and quality focus is essential.
