What does the role involve?
Building and Implementing Production Plans - PCM Planning, organising, coordinating, and controlling resources and physical assets to deliver high quality results for RMG within allocated budget; managing operational risk through effective monitoring of relevant regulation to ensure on-going compliance.
Creates a production plan : Creates a detailed Mail Centre Production Plan for realising plant's objectives; considers plant goals, scorecard metrics, business direction, market penetration, past plant performance results, available resources, costs, and RMG support to develop a detailed plan to drive plant performance.
Defines process : Establishes a clear execution process by communicating a resource plan, stakeholders' accountabilities, needed skills, budgets, scorecard metrics, and measurement of success.
Manages costs : Monitors the costs of the operation, reviews and reports, financial performance based on the allocated budget, recommends budgetary improvement actions, justifies spend.
Manages workflow : Manages work distribution and workload within the plant to achieve business metrics (e.g. productivity, quality, customer, safety etc.), performs accurate workload calculations and projects capacity, ensures timely communication about shortage of resources, troubleshoots ways to move resources in a flexible manner to meet set objectives, generates options for accessing and using available resources, evaluates and selects alternatives, considers priorities, and engages in cost benefit analysis
Monitors plan : Collects and reviews data regularly to determine the course of plan, evaluates the need to adapt the plan when in changing conditions, proposes and/or makes necessary adjustments to optimise outputs
Manages risk : Identifies and monitors risks initially and on-going, assesses the likelihood these risks will be realised and seriousness of their implications; implements response plans to address risk and implications in terms of: schedule, budget, resources, safety, or quality, considers implications of incidents, develops response, and redesigns the process to prevent incidents from future occurrence.
Manages compliance: Guides operation performance in compliance with RMG values, governance processes and relevant legislation and regulation; drives automation compliance to standard operating methods; monitors compliance to routine maintenance plans; drives plant processes in compliance with Health and Safety norms and policies.
Creates performance tension: Identifies gaps between current reality and expected business results; sets high performance standards; initiates action and moves other toward envisioned outcomes
Shift Patterns: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm, a degree of flexibility is required to meet operational demands to start early, finish late or work weekend on occasion
