Ottolenghi is an Internationally-known family of restaurants and shops. We are looking for an experienced Head of Bakery Production for our Central Production Kitchen to elevate our already established, organsied and hard working team.
Head of Bakery Production is an exciting role and is suitable for someone with experience as Head of Bakery Production in a high-volume cooking in production kitchens or who is looking to move from a busy restaurant environment to a kitchen without the pressure of service but wants to work in an exciting company that produces food and products to be proud of.
Our recipes are bright, fresh, seasonal, full of flavours and complex. Our flavours are multi-layered combinations of herbs, spices, and umami-filled game-changers such as black garlic and pomegranate molasses.

Key attributes:
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a Head of Bakery Production. A banqueting background is an advantage
- Passionate about the food industry and knowledgeable about food
- You must be highly organised & have great attention to detail
- Great team player with strong communication & established leadership skills
- Good IT skills
- Comfortable with communicating to a large team and good at listening
- Aptitude in menu planning, budgeting and wastage control
- Calm and efficient in a busy environment
Main Responsibilities:
- Consistent smooth running of food production areas within the Kitchen
- Effective control of stock purchasing, receipt, storage, preparation and minimising wastage.
- To ensure that all food production areas are operating to the required standards throughout the designated opening hours.
- Maintaining a high level of food quality and production.
- To ensure that at all times cleanliness, food safety and all other Health and Safety.
- Writing the rota in a timely manner that ensures the operation is well staffed and all of our colleagues have well-thought out working hours.
- To ensure all Training & Development is completed together with health & safety regulations
- Support the CPU manager in undertaking duties and jobs allocated by him
You will be looked after in our company, so you can take great care of our colleagues and customers.
