What you'll do

In this leadership role, you will define and deliver the overall public affairs strategy for Wessex Water and will take accountability for media relations locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. You will develop your own strategy for implementing insightful and engaging campaigns whilst working with other areas of our business to ensure we achieve our ambitious objectives.

Working closely with the Chief Executive and senior team, you will influence and lead on engagement campaigns and events both internally and externally, for our customers, stakeholders and employees.

What you'll need

In this crucial role, you will have significant experience in media relations and will possess solid written and verbal communication skills. You will have the ability to influence effectively at an executive level together with outstanding engagement and relationship building skills. Confident in driving new ways of thinking and inspire people in the communications and marketing arena, you will have the autonomy to have significant impact on our business.

In addition, you will:

Be an experienced leader, preferably within the utilities sector, including large organisations of considerable scale and complexity Understand how the media operates, both strategy and execution You will be degree qualified, preferably in public affairs or communications with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a senior public affairs role.
