What we’re looking for…

This position is located centrally within the HR Operations Team and will provide support to the People Operations and Policy Manager - so experience in these areas is important.

A critical role, you will have an opportunity to help our business leaders comprehend and implement people-centric policies, procedures, and practice and support change management initiatives. Being able to demonstrate your experience in maintaining up-to-date, relevant, and well-understood people-related policies will be a focus for us too.

This is an on-site position in a key strategic location that serves as a primary HR point of contact - so your passion, agility and proactive skills will be a real benefit to you as you support the business through an exciting growth programme.

Your responsibilities will include:

Proactively assisting with employee relations activities, such as investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievances Support the preparation and successful delivery of People-related change initiatives Stay up to date with changes in employment law and assess their impact on people-related policies Update people-related policies as needed to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with internal and external factors Collaborate with the HR Operations team to maintain up-to-date and accurate employee data, processing changes according to agreed timelines Proactively support the development of new People Leaders, ensuring their understanding of our people processes Assist in the preparation of Employment Tribunal paperwork when required Monitor key people metrics and take action to drive improvement where necessary Support business leaders in developing and updating role profiles to ensure their ongoing relevance Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to manage end-to-end processes throughout the employee lifecycle

What you will bring:

Up to date knowledge of employment law Confidence to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the business Ability to successful plan short, medium and long term workload An understanding of employee relations processes and the associated legal requirements Experience in using data / insights to identify opportunities Ability to collaborate across business areas and build strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels throughout the organisation Previous experience of dealing with Trade Unions would be beneficial but not essential Ability to apply HR generalist knowledge and experience across HR policies and processes
