Protocol Education is seeking a compassionate and skilled Emotional and Behavioural Mentor for a full-time position at an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Sheffield. The school caters specifically for students aged 11 – 16 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting students with emotional and behavioural difficulties to manage their behaviour and emotions effectively
  • Providing one-on-one and small group mentoring sessions to help students develop social and emotional skills
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create individualized plans for students
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress and communicating with parents and caregivers

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in counselling, social work, psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Knowledge of SEMH and strategies for managing challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
