Who we are looking for
This position manages the software engineering teams spanning EMEA and APAC supporting the UK & Ireland business applications. You will be responsible for managing the efficient use of a lean team overseeing all aspects of technology requirements for the company business in UK & Ireland. The first order of business will be to focus on cloud migrations, tech obsolescence, risk & compliance concerns, and management of team resources to deliver associated solutions. Initiative-taking software development and software delivery to agreed timescales working with both the business and internal IT is a crucial aspect of the role. Your goal will be to develop a good working relationship with the UK & Ireland business teams to meet their technology requirements to strengthen and grow the business.

As Head of UK & Ireland Application Platforms, you will
Oversee a team of software engineering professionals across EMEA and APAC that address technology requirements for the company business in UK & Ireland. You and your teams will partner with our product team, business operations team, technology infrastructure teams, risk team, compliance teams, and many others to provide IT solutions leadership and thought leadership. IT direction will include updates on technical support, technology strategy, sales support including expanding our remit with clients and improving our collective technical posture with our clients. You will be responsible for partnering with our wider global technology organization to propose technical solutions, implementation plans and technical financial models to support the successful operations of current and new clients.What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role
Strong understanding of Financial Services. Knowledge of the Fund Accounting, Fund Administration and Servicing along with Transfer Agency is a strong plus. Strong leadership abilities including the ability to work with senior leadership on planning, execution, transparency, and reporting. Effective communication and the ability to work as a collaborator are essential. Outstanding software development and delivery skills. Ability to support both vendor applications hosted internally and externally as well as in-house developed applications. Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, .NET, JAVA as well as Agile methodology, JIRA, AWS, and Azure Experience developing on public cloud environment and/or experience with migration to a public cloud environment a strong plus.Education & Preferred Qualifications
