Job summary
Following a successful Hospice UK grantaward, and working in partnership with specialist End of Life charity, AnneRobson Trust (Charity No 1178352), the role will oversee the projectmanagement of the new service, including recruitment,trainingand management of a team of volunteers who will provide companyand companionship to people in the community who are in the last weeks and daysof their life, and provide support to their family members.
Thesuccessful candidate will have apassion for improving care at the end oflife, with some project and volunteermanagement experience, as well as excellent organisational, communication,networking and people skills.
Main duties of the job
We will attract,recruit, train, and manage a dedicated team of Community Butterfly Volunteers toprovide ongoing support to patients at the end of life who are dying at home,their families and carers. This willstart with people supported by the hospice at home team, with a vision to buildon this to include wider support for people nearing end of life including thosepeople living within care homes.
The postholderwill be an integral member of the hospice at home team liaising with theregistered nurse on a daily basis in order to identify patients and theirfamilies who would benefit from the Butterfly Volunteer Service.
It is theresponsibility of the post holder to launch the Community Butterfly Volunteerservice, to manage the service on a day to day basis and provide ongoing linemanagement support to the volunteers.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage with the Anne Robson Trust and attend their bespoke training which will provide the foundations with which you will set up the service. Attract and recruit a group of Community Butterfly Volunteers with support from the Hospice Voluntary Services team and the Anne Robson Trust. Ensure that the appropriate checks and assessments are undertaken with regards to volunteer recruitment in conjunction with Voluntary Services. With the support of the charity, organise and deliver Community Butterfly Volunteer training, ensuring that all mandatory requirements are met and regularly updated. Ensure structures are in place to ensure all risk assessments are completed. Work alongside the Hospice at Home Lead in developing the service using excellent project management skills. On a day to day basis work closely with Hospice at Home staff attending patient handover briefings, and building relationships as part of the team. Build good working relationships with relevant stakeholders and internal departments to ensure smooth running of the services. Ensure all administrative tasks are completed punctually, including recording feedback forms after each volunteer visit and data collection. Use SystmOne to manage referrals, record entries and ensuring up to date information on the patients. Manage and provide emotional support to your team of Community Butterfly Volunteers, including de-briefing after their visits, arranging regular team meetings and additional training. Attend relevant meetings, present and lead discussions and raise the profile of the Community Butterfly Volunteer service both internally and externally. Maintain accurate data collection and produce monthly reports on service activity. Provide monthly anonymised data to the Norfolk Hospice Tapping House governance committee and Anne Robson Trust as per the Memorandum of Agreement that is in place. Ensure policies and controls for the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Children are adhered to. Become a member of the wider Anne Robson Trust Community - by attending monthly Coordinator teams calls and encouraging Community Butterfly Volunteers to join the Anne Robson Trust Volunteer Community.General

Essential
Knowledge of end of life or palliative care through professional or personal experience. Use of IT (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail and Internet). 5 GCSE or equivalent grade C/4 above (incl maths/English)
