Job summary

We are recruiting an enthusiastic administrator to join our team. This is a very varied role and the successful candidate will be part of a team who manages the entire patient pathway from referral management to the administrative side of chronic disease management.

You will be working within a highly motivated team who are striving to be a centre of excellence for patient care.

Main duties of the job

Creating and submitting referrals, patient letters and clinical correspondence.

Understanding of clinical pathways.

Managing a high volume of contacts through emails, internal systems and phones, from patients, outside services and secretaries.

Managing and reviewing medical dictations. Scanning medical information and uploading to the clinical system. Participate in regular team meetings and minute take. To identify patients who have opted in or out of taking part in scheduled care protocol. To use Mjog to identify patients who have responded to recall message sent. To book patients in with appropriate people and appropriate timing aiming to have their medication review complete by the end of the month of their birth. To respond to queries from patients about long term condition checks directing to clinicians where appropriate. To use AccuRx and SystmOne messaging as per Scheduled Care protocol. To use ICE to raise blood forms as per the Long Term Condition Ardens template. To perform audit work where required. Liaise with Operations Leads, Data Quality Lead and Clinical leads where necessary. Ad-hoc duties as they arise.

Job responsibilities

Qualifications

Essential

Good standard of general education to include English and Maths.

Desirable

GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above) or equivalent NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care administrative experience. Working in a health care environment.

Experience of using initiative.
