An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Records Clerical Officer working 37 hours per week 08:30 - 17:00. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to gain hands on experience in a busy and thriving, supportive workplace.

Working Monday to Friday you will primarily be based at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline but depending on needs of the service may be required to provide cover at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, St Andrews Community Hospital and Adamson Hospital in Cupar.

The Health Records Department provides multi-hospital / multi-section comprehensive 24-hour Health Records Service across Fife incorporating Clinical Coding, Information Management, Inpatient Services, Emergency Department, Minor Injuries Unit, Records Libraries, Scanning, Subject Access Requests, Outpatients, Waiting Times, Overseas Visitor Status and NHS Fife Switchboard.

Previous Admin / Clerical experience preferably in a Health Records department is desirable. A knowledge of GDPR and confidentiality is preferred.

You must have the ability to prioritise and manage the day-to-day workload in a busy, fast paced environment. You must be able to follow instruction clearly and effectively. You must have the ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision at times.

Good organisational and listening skills are essential as well as a flexible approach to working. A good level of English language competency and good communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and effectively are required.
