We have an opportunity for an experienced Machine  Operator to join our Arb Utility an Inland Waterway division based in the Cambridge/East Anglia  area. This is a pivotal role supporting our work across a wide range of sites Nationally . We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join our team.

As a Machine Operator you will work on the waterways, utilities and construction sites so experience in working within these sectors would be advantageous.

Duties required of a machine operator are to include but not limited to: Using your experience to assist in the scoping of works preparation of method statements and risk assessments.

Be able to read and understand site plans and work according to written or verbal instruction.

Working in a clean and tidy manor doing your upmost to protect the environment and avoid pollution.

Looking after all equipment keeping it in a clean and undamaged state all damage to equipment must be reported.

Complete pre start equipment checks record findings and submit as required.

Complete routine maintenance and lubrication of equipment.

Operate any plant or equipment you are trained and competent to use, this may be owned or hired in and will include the use of specialised attachments.

Comply with legislation i.e. Health and safety at work, LOLER, COSHH, Etc

Who are we looking for?

Ideally you will have a background in waterways or construction, with some experience using Vegetation / Forestry Equipment but skillsets will be assessed individually.

CPCS Cardholder - essential 360 Excavator - essential Dumper - forward tipping CPCS A59C Lifting with Excavators/NPORS Excavator as Crane Telehandler  Excavator Above & below 10Ton 5 years experience in the role - advantageous
