  • Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring lessons meet the goals set in their individualized learning plans (ILPs).
  • Promote positive behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to a positive, child-centered school culture that fosters growth and achievement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in Outdoor Education, Forest School Leadership, or similar field (Level 3 or higher).
  • Proven experience working with children and young people with SEN, particularly in outdoor or alternative learning environments.
  • Strong understanding of SEN, especially around Autism, SEMH, and behavioral challenges.
  • Excellent communication, behavior management, and motivational skills.
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to complete).
  • A passion for the outdoors, with practical skills in outdoor activities, environmental education, or adventure sports.
  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to engage students who may have faced barriers in traditional educational settings.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with flexibility and a solution-focused mindset.
  • A valid UK driving license is desirable.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a supportive, forward-thinking SEN school group with a strong reputation for nurturing student potential.
  • Access to ongoing professional development opportunities and training.
  • Work in a positive, values-driven environment where innovation in education is encouraged.
