To be responsible for undertaking a wide rangeof reception duties and the provision of general support to themultidisciplinary team. Main duties of the job
Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
Process personal, telephone and online requests for appointments
Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing withthe callers request appropriately
Signposting patients to the correct service
Initiating contact with and responding to, requests frompatients, team members and external agencies
Read coding of medical documents
Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevantpatient information as required
Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessary
Direct requests for information SAR, insurance / solicitorsletters and DVLA forms to the administrative team
Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
Carry out system searches as requested
Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
Support all clinical staffwith general tasks as requested
About us
Cambridge Avenue Medical Centre has a dedicated team of 5 Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 3 NursePractitioners, 1 Nurse Prescriber, and a well established clinical and admin team. We are a training practicefor GP Registrars and medical students from Hull & York Medical School.

Due to internal promotion we are looking for up to 2 new full time Medical Receptionists to join our team.
Working hours will include -
start times and finish times. Monday - Friday.
Working across both our sites, Cambridge Avenue and Messingham.
Hours to be confirmed at interview.

Experience in Healthcare, namely primary care would be an advantage but not essential.
