This role requires a good understanding of efficient storage and distribution of jewellery and loose diamonds. The candidate should have exceptional organisational skills and be able to carry out all the duties mentioned to a high degree of accuracy and speed. You must be able to supervise a team and departmental operational tasks as well as carry out all day to day tasks as required.
The import and export of all jewellery, loose diamonds and non-valuable goods, through the correct channels, conforming to security, insurance regulations and correct freight methods.
Operational tasks
Supervise and process receiving and dispatch of all jewellery and loose diamonds shipments (to/from manufacturers, suppliers, stores and wholesale/franchise). Liaise with HO teams to ensure efficient dispatch of stock for new stores openings, events and photo shoots. Supervise and process HO stock transfers. Ensure efficient transfer of stock from other departments (QC and DC). Supervise and process synthetic checks. Manage returns to vendors.Supervising team:
Supervise team workload and re-arrange if necessary. Train junior team members on operational tasks. Ensure all requests and allocations are completed. Responsible for updating the “manual” for team and to provide inductions for new starters to the company.Reporting:
Assist with producing monthly volume report. Assist with team KPI reports. Work with Logistics and Supply Planning teams to issue forecast for all inbounds.Jewellery & loose diamonds stock take:
Organise the bi-annual HO stock take Arrange cycle countsVault maintenance:
Checking the stock physically received from other departments (Quality Control and Diamond Centre). Store the stock in the vault. Manage vault stock to ensure compliance with security SOP. Ensure stock accuracy at all times.E-commerce DTC/3rd Party:
Process sale to customer of order on SAP/Oracle. Pack item and despatch item with nominated carrier. Track delivery to ensure no delay to customer. Arrange collections for e-commerce returns. Manage delivery/ return queries.GIA/IoD report queries
Allocate correct diamond certificate to finished jewellery. Resolve all store certificate queries. Arrange certificate stock takes. Qualifications: Previous logistics experience (in jewellery or high value items) preferable. Experience supervising/managing team. Good knowledge of documentation (proforma invoices, carnets) and Customs requirement is necessary. Good knowledge of stock storage and distribution. Ability to multi-task. Adapting to a fast pace environment.-
