Channel Distribution Sales Manager

Job Purpose


Coordinate hardware sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals and establish training programs for sales representatives. Analyse sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers.



Duties and Responsibilities


  • Look after relationship with our UK & Benelux hardware distributors.
  • Set quarterly targets and monitor progress throughout the quarter giving regular updates
  • Communicate marketing budgets & ensure any promotions are updated/actively supported through marketing.
  • Be first port of call for all distribution enquiries.
  • Be available on the UK sales floors on a regular basis, ensuring you raise the profile/mindshare of Lexmark amongst the teams there.
  • Be the conduit between Lexmark account managers and Distribution ensuring communication is fluid at all times.
  • Liaising with CMC team in Cebu, handling deliver issues, PO issues, helping accounts with payment issues.
  • Be the first point on contact for Control Tower, handling any issues arising regarding allocation of stock & delivery into distribution.
  • Look after stock forecast, this entails regular weekly meeting with account managers, building a forecast sheet & reported to EMEA on a monthly basis to ensure stock is available.


This role covers a lot of communication with both internal people globally and lot of external contacts at Distribution so excellent communication is key. You need to be organised, methodically and able to self-manage your days.


At certain times there is a lot of pressure (i.e end of quarter) so you must be able to step up as and when needed. This is a remote role based in the UK but there is a level of expectation that you will be in each UK distributor every other week & in Benelux twice a quarter. You will going in alone most of the time so you need a clear, confident manner & ensure the distributor trusts you. People buy from people, so you need to make sure when they think of a vendor you are their preferred choice to call first with an opportunity.

Education & Experience


  • Commercially minded
  • Graduate level degree
  • Able to demonstrate creativity and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Competent in Account Management
  • Strong in English, written and oral, any additional European language is a plus
  • Microsoft Office Skills
