A bit about the job:

In this role, applying commercial strategies, supplier relationship management, and category management will be key to maximising value through cost savings and optimising the supply chain. Negotiating software renewals and managing new sourcing activities, will be essential along with risk management. Combining market intelligence with an understanding of current supplier arrangements and business needs allows for the creation of effective sourcing strategies. Close collaboration with business teams will be necessary to develop contracts and manage supplier relationships that align with operational goals, ensuring sustained value and performance. Additionally, contributing to the department’s overall efficiency by embracing innovation and supporting continuous improvements in procurement practices is expected.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Demonstrated expertise in commercial and stakeholder management, with a proven ability to build strong internal business relationships across all levels. Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing high-demand workloads, excelling in challenging situations where outcomes are unclear. Successfully delivering results in fast-paced, evolving environments, preferably within IT. Proficient in leading and managing complex sourcing processes, as well as developing and negotiating intricate agreements. Degree educated, with a desirable CIPS qualification that further enhances procurement and commercial expertise.

Starting salary circa £ 40000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications) Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
