Summary

We’re currently recruiting for an Apprenticeship Officer to join our team working 37.5 hours a week.This role will join the existing three Apprenticeship Officers and the Apprenticeship Manager, and you will be supporting a new and exciting programme that will be running over the next 3 years initially - this will entail helping to design and develop the programme and then supporting our Apprentices, Line Managers and Mentors and selecting and building strong and robust relationships with our Training Providers. You’ll be working as part of the Apprenticeship team based in Swindon, but supporting this specific apprenticeship programme, as well as supporting other daily activities related to our wider apprenticeship programmes. Along with your CV please include a cover letter of no more than 500 words detailing how your experience relates to the role.

You’ll spend one day a week working in our office to collaborate with the Apprenticeship team, and the rest of the time typically working from home, staying connected through online meetings and telephone calls. This is a role with national coverage, with some travel and overnight stays required. You should expect to be in the office some weeks 40-60% of your working week and this will be discussed in more detail at interview. 

What you'll be doing

The role is varied, and no two days are ever the same. Working with the Apprenticeship Manager, your responsibilities will include managing external training providers, supporting recruitment of new apprentices, managing internal and external communication, data management, answering and resolving complex queries and acting as a point of contact, expertise and support for the business both internally and externally.You'll model exceptional customer service responding confidently and knowledgeably to both internal and external questions and be a point of contact and information in the key specified area, initiating and owning solutions as required whilst maintaining high levels of confidentiality.You'll monitor, report on and manage the specified restricted budgets, ensuring you comply with the Trust’s financial procedures and ensure that all related central and restricted fund requests are reviewed and actioned correctly, and balances monitored in the specified funds and payment issues are dealt with.You'll ensure block weeks, induction and graduation content are agreed and communicated and lead and support on all specified areas on all aspects of the programme from recruiting, onboarding through to line manager and post completion support, in addition to monitoring and recommending improvements and change as required throughout the duration.You'll continually monitor the programme via line managers, apprentices, mentors and training providers to ensure the programme is industry leading, addressing issues and finding and implementing solutions to complex challenges.
