As a Product Owner you will work within the UX team and you will be responsible for leading A/B testing, optimisation and personalisation as well as working collaboratively with a mixture of both systems and business teams. 

What we’re looking for is someone who can take an idea on paper to a test on the website and prove its value. We’re looking for someone who has strong analytical skills and is data driven to support their ideas.

You must have significant experience of working as a Product Owner within an Ecommerce environment and ideally, you’ll have some retail experience. 

We can offer hybrid working with (approximately) 2 days working out of our Head Office in Enderby, Leicester - which has lots going on and is a great place to be - coupled with having the flexibility to work the rest of the week remotely.

About the role

Ensure scope and requirements are sufficiently understood. Engagement with the business will be via workshops or by other methods deemed to be appropriate to drive forward requirements gathering and elicitation. Work with the IT solution architect and development leads in the production of an IT Solution Design ensuring that proposed solutions are aligned with IT strategy yet meet business expectations. Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand the needs of the business and translate into detailed requirements, considering potential risks or dependencies to the project. Implement key Agile / SCRUM ceremonies, representing your project and be the key driver in enabling the development teams to progress. Work closely within a team of Product Owners, Developers and QA daily, ensuring your projects are on track and moving forward in order to go live. Work with data teams to ensure that all optimisation an personalisation tests or decisions are based on solid data analysis. Be the key point of contact for your stakeholders for their projects, ensuring that you manage their expectations and time frames. This will include pushing back if necessary.  Prioritise projects based on business requirements and needs, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed.

About you

Previous experience in a Junior Product owner or Product Manager related role. Excellent communication skills; you must be happy and confident talking to large groups of people at all levels and work cross functionally. Good Attention to detail and organised. Next is a very fast paced retail environment with changing priorities. Experience using A/B testing platforms such as Monetate, Optimisely, Dynamic Yield, Content Square are desirable but not essential. Experience using project management and agile tools such as TFS, Rally, Asana, are desirable but not essential. Basic understanding of front-end development is preferable, but not essential as you will work closely with Developers to build new and exciting web features. Understanding of UX/UI to drive business performance. Experience in communicating with and influencing relevant stakeholders – the ability to distil complex topics into an easy-to-understand summary High intellectual curiosity, drive, determination, organisation, and persuasion skills. Excels in an entrepreneurial, get-things-done culture: self-starter, highly proactive and willing to roll up their sleeves as a team player.
