We are currently looking for a  Business Administrator  to join our friendly team based at our Tarmac Colchester Office. This role is commutable from Colchester, Tiptree, West Mersea, Clacton-on-Sea, Great Bentley, Braintree, Witham, Ipswich, Sudbury, Halstead, Chelmsford and the surrounding areas.

Due to the nature of the role and on completion of training, the role is open to an element of rostered hybrid working across the team

We are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds, therefore prior industry experience isn’t always necessary for success. 

Role Responsibility

As the  Business Administrator  you will have worked in a similar industry providing either internal or external business support to your wider team and the Tarmac group. Other responsibilities for this role will include:

Demonstrate an excellent business manner when dealing with colleagues across the business Prioritise and multitask daily duties Handling incoming emails Understanding and assessing team needs Supporting the team by handling their requests or directing to a relevant department Maintain up-to-date and accurate SAP records Engage with the wider Tarmac team to better understand requirements and develop and maintain relationships Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required Maintain proactive communication across the region of work

The Ideal Candidate

It is preferred that the successful candidate for the role of  Business Administrator  will be experienced in the following:

SAP systems Basic spreadsheet use Working collaboratively with the existing team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard Showing a positive attitude, building rapport and positive relationships with customers and internal colleagues Being ambitious to learn new skills and achieve your own personal goals, as well as business goal

In the role of  Business Administrator  you will also have:

Good interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving skills Good oral and written communication Numeracy and analytical ability

Training will be provided for:

Products, Procedures and our Computer systems
