Job summary

An exciting band 7 clinical leadership opportunity hasarisen for a qualified and experienced paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) /Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) or Physiotherapist; leading the Child Developmentand Specialist Play teams within Children, Young People & Families ServiceDelivery Unit.

The successfulcandidate will be able to demonstrate a highly advanced understanding of holisticchild development in the early years and the wider system of SEND support.

The ChildDevelopment and Specialist Play services work with babies and pre-schoolchildren with significant development delay or a known medicalcondition/diagnosis who require a specialist approach.

The successful candidatewould need to be prepared to work at all 3 Worcestershire Child DevelopmentCentres c as appropriate and travel to deliver care to Worcestershire childrenwithin their homes.

Main duties of the job

The successfulcandidate will have support from the senior management team but will need to beable to make management and clinical decisions with autonomy, guided by trustpolicies.

The service is undergoing a periodof review and transformation the successful candidate will be expected to workclosely with the advanced clinical practitioner to ensure the quality andimplementation of new initiatives. You will need to have recent experience ofquality improvement, audit or research.

You will be responsible for theoperational running of the child development centre service; including linemanagement of the team, triage and, management of the 3 child developmentcentre sites.

You will work as part of amultidisciplinary team to ensure clinical quality and outcomes of intervention.
