Job Description

Job purpose

The Application Support Team Leader is responsible for providing leadership focus on the operational service of the Level 2 support team, for our Wealth Management platforms and our users. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and third-party platform providers to ensure effective resolution and ticket management. The Team Leader will oversee technical support duties, monitoring performance and quality, and leading the team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in coaching and developing your team members to achieve their goals and enhance their capabilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  •  Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them achieve their goals and develop their skills. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Measure and monitor individual performance, working closely with team members to improve their key performance indicators. Offer constructive feedback and create personalised development plans.
  • Assist the Application Support Manager in defining and delivering the team strategy and objectives. Ensure alignment with overall organisational goals.
  •  Coordinate day-to-day team operations and service support. Ensure efficient workflow and address any operational challenges promptly.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and manage problems effectively. Implement solutions to enhance team performance and service delivery.

Qualifications

Key Skills and Experience

  • You must demonstrate proven experience in leading a team, being accountable for team KPIs, managing performance, and overseeing team development.
  • Financial Services Experience: (Working in the financial services sector, ideally Wealth Management)
  • Technical Expertise: Profound knowledge of wealth management platforms such as Avaloq, Xplan, Client Portals, and Backbase. (desirable)

  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills and experience in a technical domain.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical issues into plain English and build strong working relationships.
  • Problem Solving: A can-do attitude to problem-solving with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Multitasking: Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Responsible for management and escalation of issues
  • Ability to document, share knowledge and best practices across the team
  • Self-motivated and innovative with a great attention to detail
