The Lead Application Support Specialist is tasked with steering the operational efficiency of the Level 2 support team dedicated to our Wealth Management systems and clientele. The Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing technical support functions, monitoring performance metrics, and guiding the team towards achieving operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
In your capacity as a Team Leader, you will be instrumental in mentoring and developing your team members to reach their objectives and enhance their skills.
Your duties will encompass:
- Offering guidance and support to team members, assisting them in reaching their objectives and advancing their skills. Cultivating a culture of ongoing learning and enhancement.
- Evaluating and tracking individual performance, collaborating closely with team members to improve their key performance indicators. Providing constructive feedback and creating tailored development plans.
- Supporting the Application Support Manager in defining and executing the team’s strategy and objectives, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Managing daily team operations and service support, ensuring a smooth workflow and promptly addressing any operational challenges.
- Identifying areas for improvement and effectively managing issues. Implementing solutions to boost team performance and service delivery.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team, being accountable for team KPIs, managing performance, and overseeing team development.
- Experience in Financial Services, preferably within Wealth Management.
- Technical proficiency in wealth management platforms such as Avaloq, Xplan, Client Portals, and Backbase is desirable.

- Communication: Ability to simplify complex technical issues and foster strong working relationships.
