Job summary

The Role

We are looking for an inspirational individual with clinical experience who can inspire, enthuse, and connect with our students. You will teach on both the undergraduate and post graduate programmes including inter professional education across the college.

Main duties of the job

You will take an active role in all areas of student learning, teaching and assessment; this will also include the quality and administration duties associated with an excellent student experience. You will also be involved in the whole student pathway including admissions, academic advising, clinical placement, and pastoral support.

You must have well developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical, and theoretical issues relevant to diagnostic imaging practice and experience of clinical practice. A good honours degree (, UK or 1st Class), or equivalent professional qualification and experience in Diagnostic radiography is essential as is registration with a recognised regulatory body.

About us

The Diagnostic Imaging Team

Our teaching team has a range of expertise in all areas of Diagnostic Imaging and are all HCPC registered radiographers. Additionally, a high proportion of the team have significant external roles contributing to the future of both diagnostic Radiography and the wider Allied Health Professions. We work closely with and are supported by a strong network of clinical partners across the Northeast, Yorkshire and Midlands regions.

We work creatively and flexibly to meet the needs of service and are grounded in the professions that we educate but have a visionary eye on the future.

Our teaching team has a range of expertise in all areas of diagnostic imaging and are responsible for the delivery of the:

BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography

BSc (Hons)Diagnostic Radiography Degree Apprenticeship

BSc (Hons) Medical Ultrasound Degree Apprenticeship

MSc Medical Ultrasound and

MSc Diagnostic Imaging courses.

In addition, the team contributes to cross department and cross college teaching including the integrated care curriculum and MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Higher Degree Apprenticeship.

The team are based within the Robert Winston Building which provides excellent facilities and houses our brand-new specialist imaging suite, ultrasound equipment and simulation equipment.

The balance of these will vary between post holders.Student experience Designs and delivers innovative, high quality and challenging learning experiences. Equips students with the skills, knowledge and attributes required by employers through delivery of the curriculum. Contributes to the development of a sense of student community and acts as key contact for students. Assists with the operational delivery of courses/modules and acts proactively to address any emerging issues, escalating as appropriate. Actively participates in student induction (where appropriate), including preparation of key information for students.
