**Advanced Vehicle Lecturer**

**Salary Range £29,820 - £36,749**

**37 hours per week X 52 weeks per year**

**We’re looking for somebody to come aboard and join our fantastic motor vehicle team as a main-grade Lecturer**

We currently deliver IMI qualifications in Maintenance and Repair Skills, Inspection and Fitting. We also have an Accident Repair section and cross-skills would be an advantage.

We are based at Olive Grove Campus and have recently had a substantial investment in rooms and equipment including a new hybrid rig and electric car. We also work closely with employers to ensure the programmes are cutting edge and learners get a consistently great experience.

**Day-to-day, you will**:

- Formal scheduled teaching
- Tutorials and student assessment
- Management of learning programmes and curriculum development
- Student admissions

- Have a strong background and industry experience in Automotive technology, including knowledge of automotive systems, mechanics, diagnostics, and repair techniques, backed up with relevant qualifications.
- Committed to work towards gaining a Level 5 teaching qualification within 12 months of starting (or already hold) and stay updated with the latest advancements, trends, and regulations. Commitment to lifelong learning through professional development, industry certifications, and networking ensures that lecturers remain current and relevant in their field.
- Genuine passion and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and a genuine desire to motivate students, helping students to shape their lives throughout their learning journey.
- Adapt teaching approaches to incorporate new developments, engage students with relevant content, and address emerging challenges.
- Have the ability to communicate, build rapport and collaborating, building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and industry professionals.
- Effective planning, time management, and organisational skills are necessary for developing curriculum materials, lesson plans, and assessments.
