Mental Health Specialist Support Worker- Crisis House

Location: Warrington Central

Hours: 1 x 12.5 hours per week

Pay Rate : £12.57 per hour


As a Mental Health Specialist Support Worker you will provide professional, high quality support to people who access our crisis house. You will do this in a way which maximises their choice and independence; supporting them to have a high quality of life and make their own decisions while championing our Values within your role.

You will be Lone working in our Park House Crisis Centre providing support for 24 hours a day seven days a week. Your aim will be to deliver one to one support sessions with people in a mental health crisis, you would also need to deliver support in a recovery-focused and in a person-centred way, which builds confidence and helps people to move forward. You must have a minimum of 12 months work experience working in a mental health because this is a specialist role , We would like you to explain your skills and any to provide any qualifications you may have ,WCL want to make sure we are providing the best care to the people we support.


As part of your role, you will provide 1:1 or group support to individuals who have previously experienced or are currently experiencing a mental health crisis.

  • Assessment and goal planning/Personal pathways
  • Person to person Centred support planning
  • Risk managements
  • Outcome focused support
  • Advice and guidance support plans
  • Referral and signposting to other avenues of support

  • Refer a Friend £200 - if you refer a friend to come and work for WCL and they are successful, you will receive a £200 bonus.
  • Christmas Enhancement (Double Time) - allocated Christmas hours worked will be rewarded with double-time pay.


Set rotas which include a combination of shift patterns, ongoing training, and support (in work qualifications supported)
