About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operational Lead to spearhead our Crisis Mental Health Services within the Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This newly created role is vital in strengthening our managerial team and enhancing the delivery of high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health crises.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide strategic operational leadership for a defined group of services within the Mental Health Directorate, collaborating closely with Operational Managers and the Director of Mental Health.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of innovative service models, including Health Based Places of Safety, Clinical Decision Units, and admission alternatives.
- Foster seamless care pathways by building strong relationships with multi-agency partners and ensuring a coordinated approach to mental health support across Cornwall.
- Champion quality improvement initiatives aligned with national drivers for Crisis Mental Health Services, continuously striving to enhance the effectiveness and impact of our services.
- Lead and motivate a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in patient care.
About You
You are a highly motivated and experienced leader with a passion for delivering exceptional mental health care. Your expertise in crisis intervention and your commitment to evidence-based practice will be instrumental in shaping the future of our services.
We are seeking an individual who possesses:
- A nursing qualification (RMN, RSCN) or equivalent Allied Health Professional registration with their respective governing body.
- Significant experience in a managerial role or senior clinical position within mental health services.
- A postgraduate qualification at Masters level or relevant equivalent experience.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively engage with multidisciplinary teams, service users, and their families.
- A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
