Production Control Co-ordinator

The Production Control Coordinator Will Oversee production control activities, which ensures materials and subassemblies flow through production in support of the production plans to satisfy business goals and customer demands. The production Coordinator will Identify needed labour and ensure that necessary effort is applied in production bottleneck areas to be eliminated.
Functions and responsibilitiesResources
- Monitor records of employee attendance / clocking-in to allow accurate capacity planning and scheduling.
- Update hours in Baan on a daily basis and carry out analysis of indicators and KPI’s (non-productive hours,) Carry out monthly closing of hours.
Manufacturing Planning
- Collate and update production information databases
- Provide timely and accurate recording and reporting of production statistical data
- Follow up on the progress of projects
- Monitor data input from Baan and prepare reports including forecasts and KPI’s
- Carry out monitoring of Takt for customer projects.
- Follow up materials tracking meetings to ensure together with manufacturing engineering and team leaders that material shortages impacts are reduced to a minimum
- Manage production orders in computer system, including launches and closures
- Control of subcontracted sub-assemblies
Training required
NVQ L3 or equivalent, in relevant field e.g., training qualification.
In-depth experience in a similar role, ideally in a modern engineering environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects.
Strong IT skills, familiar with Microsoft packages, especially Excel.
Required professional experienceAble to maintain accurate records.
Able to work flexibly across a broad range of activities as the role evolves
Experience of working with ERPs (BaaN).
Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Able to respond and adapt to changing circumstances, and stay focused
Able to take ownership and responsibility for own work.
Technical and/or practical knowledge valued
