WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Design and Implement Technical Solutions: Develop cutting-edge technical solutions on cloud infrastructure to meet business requirements, emphasizing scalability, reliability, security, automation, and performance.
  • Execute operational engineering tasks such as platform upgrades, server patching, monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Identify, design, and deploy effective monitoring and alerting systems to track service events related to performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.
  • 24/7 Support: Provide round-the-clock support as part of an on-call rotation team, responding to after-hours infrastructure alerts and inquiries from the application support team.
  • Define and uphold critical cloud policies concerning Security, Service Level Agreements, Disaster Recovery, Shared Responsibility, Acceptable Use, and Data Retention.
  • Participate in discussions related to cloud strategy, contributing insights and aiding decisions regarding overall cloud design and the best approach for implementing cloud solutions.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills:
  • Proven track record with 7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or cloud operations roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
  • Certification in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Associate, or Expert level, or equivalent cloud-related certification (preferred).
  • Ability to utilize CI/CD tools such as Tekton and Jenkins effectively.
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies, preferably with Pulumi, Terraform, etc.
  • Familiarity with CD tools like Flux CD or Argo CD is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with React/Northstar frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong DevOps skills, including hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Operations and Administration.
  • Skilled in managing various operating systems including Linux/UNIX, Windows, Mac, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, especially Python.
  • Proficiency in SRE principles, focusing on Problem Management, Availability Management, and SLA Management.
  • Ability to implement effective observability practices and respond to incidents promptly.
  • Proficient in managing Kubernetes infrastructure and providing operational support.
  • Expertise in cloud networking, particularly within Kubernetes environments such as AKS.
  • Experience deploying web and service-based applications in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Ability to debug logical, syntactical, and run-time issues efficiently during development.
  • Proficient in implementing robust application logging for security and auditing purposes.
  • Experience with integrating and working with web service APIs using various programming models.
  • Knowledge of VPC Configuration, Networking, Security Groups, Firewalls, NAT, and packet filtering.
  • Working knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, and load balancing.
Soft Skills:
  • Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills, efficiently managing multiple concurrent projects and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
