We are looking for an experienced legal fully qualified solicitor (or barrister) with a current practicing certificate who has extensive experience and experience being a Monitoring Officer

The successful person will support a new acting MO as well as provide technical legal support particularly in the areas of report writing and governance. They will work with the Acting MO and Legal Service to ensure that the council's democratic and decision-making arrangements operate effectively in accordance with relevant legislation

The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, ensuring that compliance and governance matters are adhered to, whilst ensuring collaboration, knowledge sharing and best practices across the organisation.
