GENERAL SUMMARY

The Account Manager provides proactive execution of group sales processes and coordination operations as directed by the Director, Group Sales - Account Management & Training.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

Under the general supervision of the Director, Group Sales - Account Management & Training works with specified members of the group sales team, member hotel sales managers, and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A.Support a minimum of two (2) Group Sales Directors.

B.Maintain accurate sales tracking, sales account management and database records through effective use of all PTG sales tools and systems including CRM, , and brand member portals. 

C.Assist in monitoring the Group Desk Inbox and provide minimal support for Multi-Segment Sales Directors as needed.

D.Ensure detailed and professional responses to all client/member hotel group sales requests.

E.Distribute all group leads to hotel members and all group lead profiles as directed by our established SOPs. Qualify leads, update database with lead profile distribution to members, member follow up within 48 hours of non-response, assisting with report generation as needed.

F.Timely and thorough communications with clients, sales directors, and with hotel members regarding program information on a daily basis.

G.Provide effective organization and communications for hotel members and clients in conjunction with sales managers for all regional sales events and all sales activities.

H.Assist with collateral distribution as required.

I.Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel members, Preferred Travel Group and clients.

J.Help to organize and coordinate events. Participate in client event marketing, planning and execution as requested by Sales Directors and/or Director, Group Sales - Account Management & Training.

K.Responsible for collecting the post-convention production and pick-up from member hotels.

L.Assist clients/Group Sales Directors with visiting hotel representatives, i.e. set up appointments and sales calls.

M.Assist in special projects as assigned.

N.Assist in preparing activities report, production report, and other applicable reports as needed by Group Sales Directors.

O.Provide the Sales Director with complete telephone and email support as requested.

P.Report for duty punctually, wearing appropriate attire, reflecting a professional and polished image.

Q.Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming at all times, projecting a positive and motivated attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS

Worker characteristics are normally acquired through completion of university or college and or travel industry experience. University/college degree preferred; The following are qualifications/characteristics that are key for this position: disciplined & structured, detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills; perseverance & ability to prioritize and multi-task in high volume situations; keen capability to discern client-sensitive material and handle appropriately; sales department administration experience within luxury hotels is a plus along with a proficiency in Microsoft Office/Windows; Additional language proficiency will enhance the position.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work takes place in our Preferred Hotels office. Office space is beautifully as well as functionally decorated including all required technology tools. The employee is seated most of the time.
