AtkinsRéalis, Balfour Beatty and Egis Road Operations UK are part of a consortium, creating Connect Plus Services, a unique partnership with a collective strength in highways asset care from finance, through to design, build, maintenance as well as day to day operation.
As part of our 30-year remit to manage and improve the capital’s orbital motorway network, we deliver major improvement projects, such as widening 38 miles of the M25, refurbishing tunnels and bridges, and installing hundreds of variable messaging signs and gantries, helping to maximise the use of the network and deliver more reliable journeys. We also manage the Dartford River crossing and operate and maintain 440 kilometres of motorway providing our customer and road user with a world-class highway service.

Role Purpose:
To set the overarching direction for CPS and hold Business Performance & Planning (BP&P) functions to account for delivery against this Role:
Define CPS annual business plan to address the evolving demands of the network, our clients (National Highways and Connect Plus) and our JV Parent Companies. Drive performance, holding functions to account and assure delivery against plan. Track, analyse & report performance. Set annual budget envelope for functions. Define and regularly review CPS governance.Accountabilities:
Responsible for standing up the new BP&P operating team by end of Mar_2025. Prepare and regularly review and refine CPS business plan, considering current challenges, future opportunities and evolving our customer and stakeholder needs. Guide the business in performance management, addressing issues promptly and efficiently. Holding business leaders accountable and closely monitoring performance and risk against our Strategic Business Objectives and contractual obligations. Collaborate closely with other senior leaders to elevate our performance levels and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. Foster, empower and sustain a high-performing team dedicated to continuous improvement and meeting contract performance expectations. Business Planning & Performance Director, L1 Managers across CPS and Business Planning & Performance team leaders. Allocated responsibility for relationships with leaders in Connect Plus (CP) and National Highways (NH) plus Parent Company & JV Partner Board members.Qualifications/ skills/ experience:
A relevant professional qualification and ideally Chartered / Incorporated status with a recognised and relevant UK institution. Experience in business strategy planning, performance management and budgetary setting in a critical infrastructure environment. Experience of working in a Joint Venture or similar arrangement (desirable).
