Who we arelooking for:

The EmployeeRelations Specialist is a strategic partner responsible for workingwith the Chief People Officer and HR Team providing front line HRadvice and execute people solutions that address employee relationsissues.

In addition to advisory the ER Specialistuses knowledge of applicable local employment laws and practices todesign and implement employee relations policies and procedures toensure fair and equitable employmentpractices.

CIPD Level 5Preferred

The keyresponsibilities for the ER Specialist will beto:

  • Being the point ofcontact for all employee questions in relation to HR issues andapplication of the companies policies andprocedures;
  • Conduct investigations intoemployee complaints conflicts and disputes ensuring thorough andunbiased outcomes.
  • Lead litigation includingtribunal claims and ACAS conciliation
  • Track ERdata to identify ER trends to propose and implementimprovements
  • Build and deliver organisationalcapability in managing ER matters by educating managers and HRcolleagues in ER process practices andlegislation.
  • Working with and collaboratingwith the management team in relation to managing employees fordisciplinary grievance and performance management in either aformal or informal process;
  • Providing expertiseand guidance to Heads of Departments in relation to any HumanResources or Employee Relations based issues affecting thedifferent teams and departments;
  • Supportingwith TUPE and mobilisations;
  • Maintain keystakeholder relationships with the ManagementTeam;

The successfulcandidate for the ER Specialist position willhave:

  • A passion for ERwith an understanding of workplace culture balanced with commercialskills.
  • The confidence to collaborate closelyand provide expert advice on ER matters and employment practices tokey team members across the business reducing the reliance on ourexternal employment lawyers.
  • Be confident inhaving coached and led complex ER cases on multiple occasions:Performance Management (Informal and Formal) Absence ManagementRedundancy Process Grievance Process Disciplinary Process Mediationand Conflict Management Mitigation of future ERCases.

  • Experience of effective preparationand delivery of workplace HR and employment policies andprocedures
  • Knowledge of HR and employment lawprocedures
