Who are we ?

We are FBC UK, Fox's Burton's Companies ……-And we bake the UK's most incredible biscuits (we might be slightly biased, but we will leave that for you to judge). 

FBC UK was a match made in heaven, with two of the top UK biscuits manufacturers (Burton's Biscuits and Fox's Biscuits) coming together to create one unique, integrated company. 

We are home to famous iconic brands, including Maryland, Fox's, Jammie Dodger & Rocky, to name just a few. We bake our incredible biscuits at eight bakeries across the UK, located at Ilse of Arran, Livingston, Blackpool, Llantarnam, Edinburgh, Kirkham, Batley & Dorset. We also have offices for our supporting services in St Albans, Liverpool and Moreton. Together, we employ circa 4,000 amazing employees across all our locations.

We are currently the second biscuit manufacturer in the UK market with a strong ambition of becoming the number two biscuit manufacturer worldwide.

What does your typical day look like? 

Your day will consist of maintaining a smooth flow of clean and dirty tubs through the factory and to distribution. Taking clean tubs from tub wash and transferring to production lines and dispatch for KirkhamTub wash cleaning during shift and at the end of shift Changing chemicalsCleaning lids Lifting/pilling TubsSupply dirty tubsRemove clean tubsRemoving waste/animal feed/ general/recyclableRemoving shrink wrap and tape from the palletsLoading tubs on monorailPiling clean tubs onto palletsTrucking full/empty pallets in/outPre-start checks on tub washTemperate checksDeep Clean Tub Wash once a week including allergen cleanYou will need to ensure all good movements are carried out in a timely manner to keep production lines runningYou will build and sustain strong relationships with your Team, Line Leader, and ManagerYour role is vital in supporting the manufacturing operation in the delivery and collection of clean and dirty tubs

What are the key ingredients needed for the role? 

Applicants should be self-motivated, be able to work as part of a team, as well as on their own initiativeAble to work under pressure to meet strict deadlinesAbility to prioritise tasksTo have completed NVO 1, NVQ2. Basic Food Safety, Help Stop Accidents, Behavioural SafetySelf-Motivated and the ability to train other employeesFlexible working within the Tub wash team
