Job summary
A wonderful opportunity has arisen in our Cancer Directorate to strengthen the community assessment for men with non-specific lower urinary tract symptoms or marginally raised PSA where the GP is keen to rule out prostate cancer. The pilot aim to reduce over investigation and related anxiety in men as well as focus resources on those who are at high-risk support early detection of prostate cancer that benefit from treatment.
We are inviting applications from ambitious experienced Nurses who are interested to enhance their experience, to lead the Cancer Alliance Project- ENRICH (ENhanced tRIaging in prostate Cancer patHway) for 2 years fixed term contract or secondment. This will give an opportunity to enhance the experience in prostate cancer care as well as career progression.
You will have opportunity to work at the Addenbrooke's site as well as our outreach clinics. You will be leasing with Primary care team and creating a collaborative working strategy to meet the project aims. You will be working closely with Prostate cancer Clinical lead and Cancer Alliance.
You will demonstrate a high degree of knowledge of Prostate cancer care and proficiency in patient assessment. You must be able to have skilled and sensitive conversations. You will provide clinical leadership, influencing others to provide the highest levels of safe and effective care and a positive patient experience.
Main duties of the job
Manage and lead EoE cancer alliance project- ENRICH(ENhanced tRIaging in prostate Cancer patHway)
Responsible for the assessment including prostate volume and general health, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, as an autonomous practitioner with highly specialist skills.
Be involved in the strategic review of ENRICH service and follow up as needed.
Be responsible for leasing with primary care and establishing the project.
Line management responsibility of the project team.
Collecting data and feedback progress to consultant lead as well as cancer alliance.

Qualifications
Essential
RGN with a degree Post registration module in Urology or Prostate cancer care. Good Clinical Practice Certifacte. Advanced clinical assessment skills (if nurse led services part of role) Evidence of professional continuous development and portfolio of learning Leadership or management module
Desirable
Non-medical prescriber Advanced communication skills or Counselling qualification. Masters degree
Experience
Essential
Significant clinical experience as nurse specialist in Urology/Prostate cancer. Experience in project management Evidence of leading service change. Managing and or leading a team Significant experience in running nurse led clinics.

Practical experience of policy development Audit or research experience
