This exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior clinical nurse to join the team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a clinical nurse leader.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be accountable for providing clinical leadership and operational management across all elements of the ophthalmology service.
Main Responsibilities
The role includes:
- Providing innovative, clinical, professional and managerial leadership to ensure high-quality, responsive services with the needs of the patient at the center of care.
- Maintaining a visible presence where patients, staff and visitors can turn for assistance and upon whom they can rely to ensure that the fundamental and specialist aspects of care are met.
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding care and meet agreed targets within the resources available.
- Supporting the Head of Nurse by leading and developing nurses and nursing practice.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current and relevant NMC registration.
- Significant experience managing a ward/unit.
- Broad senior clinical and managerial experience relevant to the post.
- Success in working collaboratively across professions and services.
- Demonstrable success in managing change.
- Experience with the introduction of evidence-based practice.
