Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Clinical Leader to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Clinical Leader, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and operational management across all elements of the service, including pre-assessment, day surgery, urgent eye, outpatients, and ongoing care.

You will be accountable for ensuring a professional, safe, and efficient service to patients and staff, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. Your key duties will include providing innovative, clinical, professional, and managerial leadership, as well as being accountable for all clinical and non-clinical aspects of quality within the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and operational management across all elements of the service
  • Be accountable for ensuring a professional, safe, and efficient service to patients and staff
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide innovative, clinical, professional, and managerial leadership
  • Be accountable for all clinical and non-clinical aspects of quality within the service

Requirements:

  • Current and relevant NMC registration
  • First level registered nurse
  • Teaching and assessing qualification
  • Degree in health-related subject
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Management training

Desirable:

  • Evidence of masters-level study
  • Recent attendance on leadership programme
  • Ophthalmology experience
