JobSummary:

TheCouncil is reviewing its housing services to investigate thepotential of savings and efficiencies that could result fromstructural and organisational change including the potential ofbringing services back in house.

Thetransformation manager will oversee the continuation of this workwith support from in house project management and specialistexternal consultantstaff..

KeyDuties/Accountabilities

Dayto day management of teams responsiblefor:

HousingRegeneration Enabling and Development (leading the council shousing development and regenerationprogrammes)

TheRefugee ResettlementTeam

HousingStrategy and Commissioning including leading the relationshipwith:

thecouncil s housing ALMO Sutton Housing Partnership(SHP);

EncompassLATC responsible for the councils homelessness functions;and

SuttonLiving Ltd the Councils property developmentcompany.

EssentialExperienceRequired:

Provenexperience (minimum 5 years) working in housing managementpreferably within a local government settingessential.

Demonstrableexperience in leading transformational projects or programsincluding project planning implementation and evaluation isessential.

Experience instakeholder engagement and partnership working with housingassociations developers community groups and government agencies isessential.

Experienceworking with housing policies regulations and best practices withinthe UK context including knowledge of relevant legislation such asthe Housing Act and planning regulations isessential.

EssentialQualificationRequired:

A bachelorsdegree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such asHousing Studies Urban Planning Public Administration or BusinessManagement isessential.

Additionalqualifications or certifications in project management changemanagement or housing policy aredesirable.

Additionalinformation tonote:

Working hours:36 hours per week. For the right candidate the role may be suitablefor someone looking to work part time for a minimum of three daysper week.

The role ishybrid. It will be based at the Council s civic offices in SuttonTown Centre. However agile working will be possible and attendancein person will typically be necessary at least 2 days a week. Therewill be occasional evening meetings especially to attend Councilcommittees.
