We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Group Compliance Manager to join our team. The role is a key stakeholder in our 5 year plan to ensure as a group we remain compliant while delivering for our shareholders. This is based at our Head Office in Quorum Business Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

We are looking for a forward- thinking compliance manager, with experience of the role that can translate the relevant parts of that experience into our team and working culture. Candidates should understand the importance of managing a team and maintaining a high standard of compliance in all that we do along with a fundamental understanding of consolidated account statements and month end review processes. The role will be responsible for managing the relationship with our external auditors along with ownership of all group external reporting and tax submissions.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead the External compliance team & oversee all tasks under their ownership
  • Set up and own a monthly statutory consolidation preparation to compare against internal accounts.
  • Own the relationship with the external auditor and lead the audit within ICG to ensure timely close out and RFT responses.
  • Overall Balance Sheet owner, leading a monthly internal review with Senior Finance Managers including Accrual & Prepayment ownership.
  • Finance Business Partner to a portion of our Operations team, conducting budget reviews & ensuring compliance across the wider business.
  • Responsible for all external reporting ensuring RFT and on time submissions
  • Cashflow ownership ensuring all accounts are funded in accordance to their requirements and looking for ways to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Compliance to Banking Covenants
  • Primary review of single entity month end management accounts ahead of group review
  • SME for Sage 200 - driving scalable processes and embracing technology to drive efficiency.
  • Key player in our Legal Entity simplification project.
  • Ensuring compliance and report for acquisitions and divestitures within the group.
  • Establish internal controls reporting and set up processes to ensure we're Ever Audit Ready
  • Bank Interest management.

Required Skills

  • Fully Qualified ACCA or equivalent
  • Passion for Controls and compliance
  • Consolidation and accounting excellence
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of people of all levels and build trust Strong Personal leadership and time management skills
  • Experience of Cashflow management.
  • Advanced Excel
  • Ability to adapt and prioritise to changing business needs.
