Job summary

St Neots Health Centre is looking for Patient Navigators.

Are you looking to join a dynamic and friendly team in a healthcare setting? We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our busy administrative team at St Neots Health Centre.

Main duties of the job

As part of our administration team you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our surgery. You will be a confident communicator with a friendly and welcoming nature, who is not put off by a fast paced and demanding environment.

Prior experience within a GP practice experience is desirable but not essential.

Job description

Job responsibilities

The job holderwill have to:

Greet patients and visitors, advising them of their appointments and checking them in Answering telephone calls and managing patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy. Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment calendar effectively. Issuing prescriptions and handling prescription requests from patients and pharmacies. Dealing with patient queries in person, over the phone, and via email. Handling and accurately recording incoming and outgoing correspondence, including letters and emails. Ensure the reception area is left tidy and ready for use by other colleagues, together with any hand-over information Complete the surgery administration, including registrations and deductions

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information and administrative tasks. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with office software. Previous experience in a healthcare or administrative role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
