£120 - £160 Per day

Job Duties:

1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for students with special educational needs (SEN).

2. Assess and monitor students' progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.

3. Collaborate with teaching assistants and other professionals to provide support and guidance to SEN students.

4. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes students' social, emotional, and academic development.

5. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for SEN students.

Required Qualifications:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Specialism or experience in teaching students with special educational needs

- Knowledge of SEN Code of Practise and relevant legislation

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in SEN settings

Knowledge and Skills:

- Ability to differentiate instruction to cater to diverse learning needs

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Understanding of various SEN conditions and effective teaching strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)

- Training in behaviour management techniques

- Experience working with external agencies and multi-disciplinary teams

Working Conditions:

- Work primarily in a classroom setting within a school environment

- May involve occasional participation in extracurricular activities or parent meetings

- Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall development of SEN students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
