Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who require additional support in the classroom, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement individual learning plans for students with SEN, working one-to-one to ensure their needs are met.
  • Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behavior, maintaining a positive and focused learning environment.
  • Lead small group interventions for students who are underachieving, providing targeted support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Assess and record pupil progress against set targets, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of effective interventions and support practices for students with SEN.
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, with a strong understanding of their needs and requirements.
  • Knowledge of effective interventions and support practices, with the ability to adapt and implement these in the classroom.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
