Therole

Our Metocean Measurements team based inWallingford, Oxfordshire is now seeking an InstrumentationEngineer. The team specialise in monitoring, measuring andproviding advice on nearshore, shallow water physical oceanography,predominantly for coastal infrastructure projects and offshorerenewables in Europe and Africa. As an Instrumentation Engineer youwill be responsible for the maintenance, testing and preparation ofMetocean equipment and the building of systems. You will work tostrict Health and Safety standard's and you will be required towrite technical documentation and reports and adhere to companyprocedures. On a daily basis you will collaborate closely with yourteam members, Project Managers and Oceanographers. You will havethe opportunity to work on the latest oceanographic equipment,involved in industry leading projects in a hands-on environment,where you will have to think on your feet and adapt to changingproject needs.

Who we're lookingfor:

  • A Bachelor'sdegree or higher in Oceanography, Science, Instrumentation,Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical orequivalent.
  • Previous experience, ideally in themarine industry;
  • Able to communicateeffectively (both verbal and written) with offshore, onshore andClient personnel;
  • Experience in oil and gas,ocean science, renewables and/or surveyindustries.
