About the Role

DP World Logistics have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager for our new product created and driven by a single purpose - to help small and mid-sized e-commerce businesses scale by offering technology-driven fulfilment solutions that enable business founders to devote more time to the things that matter most in their businesses. Put simply, DPW Logistics helps e-commerce companies stress less and grow more.

Responsible for driving our sales process, reviewing inbound leads, building a strong sales pipeline, and ensuring potential customers are a good fit for DP World's services. If successful you will work in an environment characterised by speed and short sales cycles, with cold acquisition often being used early in the process. 

NOTE: this is a remote, field-based opportunity. 

How you will contribute

Driving new business development by identifying, researching, and qualifying new leads. Ensuring that sales qualified leads (SQLs) are converting to opportunities and supporting sales pipeline growth. Overseeing sales pipeline growth via high volume of outbound cold calls, emails, and social selling. Identifying client needs through assessing their current fulfillment setup and using discretionary judgment to assess if they are a fit for our business model. Making adjustment recommendations to customer, where our processes do not “fit the box” on their end. Scheduling demos with potential customers and Onboarding Managers. Achieving daily activity requirements through outbound merchant contact and accurately tracking customer interactions in the designated customer relationship management (CRM) tool. Identifying opportunities for improvement across sales operations and make recommendations to executive leadership for streamlining process. Consistently exceeding monthly and annual quota. Possessing a strong understanding of company products and services and knowledge about the ones offered by the competition. Keeping up with the latest industry developments.

What you will bring

Experience: Minimum of 4 years successful experience as BDM in a related industry. Efficiency in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients. Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills: Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships. you A strong negotiator with confidence in closing business deals.

Market knowledge: Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion. Exceptional ability to analyse market trends and competitor behaviour.

E-commerce savviness: Exceptional knowledge and understanding of e-commerce fulfilment and small and medium-sized market (SME).

Expertise: You have advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies and brand building. Your ability to analyse market trends and competitive behaviour is excellent.

Self-motivation and proactivity: You are self-motivated and willing to proactively contribute to the design and further development of the position.

Place of residence : Ideally you will be based in the Midlands and willing to travel around the UK for face-to-face meetings. 

NOTE: there will be a requirement to travel within the EU for team and client meetings when necessary.

Driving license : A full UK driving license and vehicle is required.
