The Role
Tameside Virtual School is looking for a Virtual School SEND Lead to join their team. Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- To be the main contact and lead within the Virtual School for all children with Special Educational Needs.
- To liaise with schools, SEND Team and other relevant colleagues to ensure appropriate support for all children with special educational needs and a social worker.
- To facilitate and support educational providers in the reviewing of Education, Health, Care Plans on an annual and interim basis, ensuring compliancy with all legislation if fulfilled in relation to amending, re-assessing and/or ceasing a Plan
- To liaise with SEND team and other colleagues to ensure a consistent approach across Children’s Services.
About You
You will have previous experience of leading/supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs in a school, early years, college. We are looking for candidates with alternative provision or local authority setting, ability to build good working relationships across a range of teams, as well as good knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and its implications.
